When I first saw this I was both fascinated and horrified. I have both the Lennon/Spector and Zappa mixes of this performance but it wasn't till I saw this that one realised that Yoko just never shuts up and it was funny to realise just how much she was mixed out. Its unbearable and the highlight is when they shove the bag over her... but still she didn't take the hint!
Fascinatingly surreal!
Keep Yoko in that scumbag pleeeeaaasssse!

That was Yoko,
I thought Mark Volman was swinging a cat by it's tail.
It was interesting to watch Zappa's actions during the set,
he was NOT a happy camper.
Yoko got to him. _________________ A Prune is not a vegatable

Well he titled it, "A Small Eternity With Yoko Ono"
You mean to tell me that not everyone on here has a complete set of the legitimate standard release albums?? I'm ashamed that I'm missing 3 of the YCDTOSA sets. And I don't have Orchestral Favorites, but since I do have Läther and I'm not otherwise missing ANY Ryko releases (except the Offended collection disc), that's not *too* shabby. Sometime I should check out the Rhino stuff and the new Vaulternative stuff, but hey, nobody's perfect, I'll get to that some day, after I complete the YCDTOSA set. |
You took the words right outa my mouth. I was just about the post the (approx.) same message referencing playground psychotics.
(in after thought) hold it, we're almost missing the same stuff here! What gives. I don't have Orch. Faves either but I have everything else you mentioned save some foo-ee and rhino stuff (hey rhino is warnerbros ).
So here it is folks.
Buy all the stuff they release.
Mine is in the mail (thank you ZFT for Trance Fusion...can't have too much FZ guitar solos).
Oh and don't forget the DVDs that have been released (where are you roxy).
Step 1 Watch and listen to them over and over and then
Step 2 start a band with the only other zappa freak that you know personally not virtually aka 'other zappateers'
(no excuses now, I'm from Mississippi and I know two zappafreaks personally!)
Nice to hear from you stickwolf, great minds... _________________ What is that? Is that the tower of power? Oh that's just a dope fiend device...take it away!

Believe me, I know this one.
Her "contribution" was enough for me to delete this potential very interesting video. |
This vid is work having just to see Flo putting the bag over Yoko's head (too bad it wasn't soundproof) and singing "Yoko Ono is a scumbag". hahaha _________________ Ain't this what living is really all about!

I'm not a Yoko Ono apologist by any means, but I did want to make 2 points:
1) It's "Yoko's in a scumbag"
2) One of Yoko's performance art pieces involved her (or her and John, I think) sitting inside a bag. I think you were supposed to go up and ask the bag questions or something. Anyway, one of John & Yoko's was called "Bag Peace" and it involved them sitting in a bag.
(prepare litany of puns)
All that to say that I'm sure it was Yoko's idea to get in the bag. I mean, where would they have gotten the bag if it wasn't intentional? And why wouldn't Yoko have just gotten out of the bag?
This from reading several Beatles bios. _________________ Is it alright if I shut my suitcase off?
